Soaking Prayer Each Wednesday

Union Presbyterian Church is hosting weekly Soaking Prayer Services each Wednesday at noon. The services last one hour. There is no preaching, no singing, no talking, and no offering is collected. Those who come for prayer are met at the sanctuary doors, welcomed, and given written instructions and a slip of paper on which they may (if they so desire) write their first name and a prayer request. They are then seated in the sanctuary where music is being softly played. Trained prayer ministers quietly move through the sanctuary taking turns standing behind each person who has come for prayer. Silent prayers of blessing are offered for each person and silent petitions are raised for requests that have been made. Individuals can stay the full hour or leave quietly as needed.
