Mission Projects
 


 
Union Presbyterian members and friends support the following organizations.
 
       Christian Women’s Job Corp.--A national organization providing employment educational assistance to local women.
       Heifer Project--An international organization which provides living animals and education for their care and breeding for families around the world to enable them to rise above poverty.  Heifer Project
       Buffalo Gap--A camp owned by member churches of Palo Duro Presbytery.
       Presbyterian Children’s Homes--Homes for children operated by the Presbyterian Church, (PC[USA])  Presbyterian Children's Homes
       Presbyterian Pan American School--A high school in Kingsville, Texas for students from Mexico to study in the United States.  Pan American School
       Community Thanksgiving Dinner--A Thanksgiving Day feast provided for people who otherwise would not have a celebration meal.
       Senior Citizen Center--sponsored by City of Brownwood, a place for seniors to have a nutritious meal and social interaction.  Delivery of meals is also available.
       Latch Key--An after-school care project for young children housed at the First Christian Church in Brownwood and supported by many churches.
       The ARK--A shelter for victims of domestic violence.
